Epica

EPICA  is a Dutch symphonic metal band founded by guitarist and vocalist Mark Jansen subsequent to his departure from After Forever. They are known for their symphonic sound and the use of female vocals and male growls performed by Simone Simons and Mark Jansen, respectively. The lyrics largely deal with philosophical topics, including science, religion, and world events.

Epica was my first concert and what a concert ! and my first meeting with celebrities. This concert took place in a small theatre in Lille (North of France) on the 02/22/2008. There was an after show and all the band (except Simone Simons, my most wanted )-: and Coen Janssen) signed my albums and took photos with me. I discovered during this concert a new French metal band named Kells and I took a picture with the front female singer Virginie Congalves.
